At Criptan, the exchange rate you see when making a transaction includes a margin called the spread. This differential is common in all financial markets (stocks, currencies, cryptocurrencies) and represents the cost of being able to buy or sell instantly.
To understand it, it is important to know that in any market there are two main prices:
- BID: the price at which you can sell.
- ASK: the price at which you can buy.
The difference between them is called the spread.
When you make a transaction at Criptan, it is always executed at the most competitive market price available. For this reason, the final amount may differ slightly from the last price you saw on screen (LAST TRADE), since that was the price of the most recent transaction closed, but not necessarily the current price at which you can buy or sell.
In addition, factors such as the liquidity of each asset or the size of the transaction can influence whether the spread is larger or smaller.
At Criptan, we work to keep this margin as tight as possible, offering competitive and transparent prices with no hidden fees. This way, you always know clearly how much you pay and how much you receive in every transaction.
