Shares represent the right to a proportional part of the assets that make up a basket.
If a basket contains 20 tokens of Asset A and 50 tokens of Asset B, and the basket has a total of 10 shares, then each share gives the right to 2 tokens of Asset A and 5 tokens of Asset B.
The value of one share is equivalent to the dollar value of that proportion of assets.
Considerations for buying and selling shares:
-
When creating a basket for the first time, you must acquire a minimum of 100 shares and a maximum of 20,000.
-
After that, you can add or sell shares with no minimum required, keeping the maximum of 20,000.
-
Initially, each share is valued at 1 USDC. Therefore, the amount of USDC invested when creating the basket matches the number of shares acquired.
